Mindfulness
Our pupils practise Mindfulness on a regular basis. In a world where stress is cited as one of the greatest occupational hazards, mindfulness-based practices are invaluable for teachers and children. Inviting mindfulness into the lives of children increases their capacity to become still and feel good about themselves. Mindfulness- based practices are simple yet profound and create a solid foundation on which to build self-worth, compassion and understanding. Introducing mindfulness into daily life supports us all in living with a sense of contentment and clarity and it nourishes the body, mind and emotions. Our school has featured on RTE’s Nationwide programme and on Seachtain na Gaeilge. Check the following links: Mindfulnessmatters.ie featuring many of our pupils.
