Sports in Fahy N.S.

Our school is equipped with a spacious, marked hardcourt area which is used during break times as well as for PE classes. We also have a large general purpose (GP) room which is utilised for PE on wet days as well as for Drama, SPHE and other classes.

Within our school we take part in many sports and the school is equipped with a large amount of sports equipment pertaining to all aspects of the PE curriculum and beyond.

We have access to and use of two pitches in the Fahy area, the Fahy Community Pitch as well as Fahy Rovers pitch and these are used for our Annual Sports Day as well as PE classes when the weather allows. We use the pitches for games, cross country running and GAA activities.

We are happy to compete in any competitions that may come up but the main focus in our school is on participation and we encourage all children to take part in all activities and we have a sports code of conduct to guide us in all competitive endeavours
